I don't know if you know this about me, but I went to school to be an Early Childhood Educator (ECE). In our schooling, we learned how to take pictures and document the learning of the children through play. As a mother, I find myself wanting to do this all the time. So today I indulged in it, as we did a new activity that really captured the interest of Kesten.
Kesten has really been loving my animal tracks book that he found a while back. He loves to flip through the pages and look at all the animals. We have also been taking lots of walks through the forest and we look for animal tracks as we go. Since it was so cold this morning (-35c), we decided to stay indoors and we made a batch of play dough together (from this recipe! A good one!) Instead of adding food colouring, we left it white, to look like snow. Next, we got all of our animal figurines and started making tracks in the snow.
